I built this staircase designed by my wife, Kimberly Gallagher, around 2019. It was a challenging project because I had to preserve the original charm of the stairs while accommodating the new floor height, including the rise and run. A lot of calculations and woodworking went into this project. We also created a custom stain color by layering six different General Finishes stains one after another to achieve the perfect shade.
